The title pages actually give vague plot hints, if you're willing to look for them in my pretentiously symbolic poetry. Not so much the first one, but this one and the last one both gave hints and elaborated on things revealed in the chapters that follow them.

This poem also has some symbology involving Cepheus as a creation, though. I don't talk about this much, but ever since I was a child I've had recurring dreams about a boy, then a man, who essentially looks like Cepheus (except he has more human looking eyes. I say "more" human because I don't think it's possible for eyes to be that intense a blue.) He's essentially aged alongside me, but I know it's the same person each time. (Which means I actually know exactly what Cepheus will look like when he's in his twenties. Which is going to be good because there will be a time skip between two of the books.)

The runic circle on Cepheus's chest is not a tattoo, before anyone asks. It's painted on. (You would have seen it before if it wasn't, peeking out of his shirts.) I got it from a book on runic magic; it's essentially the magic circle vitkis write on the floor to do their ceremonies within. I think I did an okay job of copying it down, although now that I think of it maybe I shouldn't have. XD (This website is going to have excess magical energies following it around now, if you're wondering why that's a bad thing. So is my notebook. And me.)

Regardless, I like how this page turned out. I had to use a Snake Eyes Sigma Six action figure as a model, though. That thing has three kinds of poses: kick-ass ninja poses, goofy sitting around poses, and cheesecakey poses that make him look kind of... well, extremely shojo-style sexed up. (Guess which kind of pose I put him in to model this picture.)

I continue to love Cepheus' creation story. (And Cepheus as a character.)
