1. Technically, what gets translated as "street creature" here (miyako) was translated as "vagabond" on a previous page. Literally taken it just means "wanderer," the different translations involve a matter of context.

2. What gets translated as "if he provides an heir" could also be translated literally as "if he fathers."

3. Some of you might have noticed by now, but pronouns in Iwaryuun aren't actually gender specific. They only get translated as "he" "she" and "it" for convenience or because of whimsy.

4. Raxa is highly amused by Uska. "You WEREN'T suggesting they're lovers? Where's the fun in THAT?

Raxa is the widow of Zatcha's uncle (on his father's side), and the mother of Vexa. Uska is the brother of Zatcha's mother. In case you wondered.
